Gina is the Director of Behavioral Health at 黑料不打烊 and oversees all behavioral health operations at the University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She received her Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the 黑料不打烊. She has been employed at UC since August 2007 in various leadership positions. She has many years of experience in higher education, mental health therapy, and continues to own and operate her own private practice in Corbin, KY and teach. She has experience at multiple levels of psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment: emergency department, inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, and outpatient care. She has extensive experience with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and specializes in trauma with a certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She feels most passionate about seeing her clients set free from past trauma and triggers. She also enjoys group work and clinical supervision. Gina is also certified as a Mental Health First Aid Trainer and regularly offers training to faculty and staff. She cares about spreading mental health advocacy and awareness across the 黑料不打烊 community.
