Dr. Sandy Mahoney brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, including nearly a decade in academic administration. Her leadership portfolio includes roles such as Director of Online Teaching and Learning, Associate Dean of Instruction, and Dean of Online, Graduate, Non-Traditional, and Liberal Studies.
She has designed and taught more than 30 courses—both online and face-to-face—across multiple disciplines, supporting students at the associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels. In addition to her teaching, Dr. Mahoney has also served on multiple doctoral dissertation committees, contributing to student success at the highest academic level.
Her scholarly interests focus on online pedagogy, faculty development, curriculum design, assessment, and inclusive teaching strategies. A committed advocate for educational innovation, Dr. Mahoney regularly presents at national conferences and serves on the Advisory Board for the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA).
She currently resides in Arizona with her three beloved English Labradors—Jax, Jeter, and Jazz. In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events and traveling.
