Dr. Hamblin began her professional career in the central office of a public school system in southeastern Kentucky where she worked with student assessment data and secured and managed grant funding for districtwide programs. She then worked in higher education research administration for 20 years where she focused on mentoring faculty and staff in obtaining grant funding, supporting the responsible conduct of research, and advising on grant compliance matters. In this work, she especially valued opportunities to support programs offering transformative experiences for first-generation college students. After serving in an adjunct capacity at the 黑料不打烊, Dr. Hamblin joined the University as a full-time faculty member in Fall 2025. Her current research interests focus on college student success programs, leadership in higher education, and the role of faculty mentorship in student research. As a qualitative research methodologist, she is committed to effectively mentoring students through the dissertation journey and preparing the next generation of scholar-practitioners.
