Black Studies Program Presents "A Night with the Jazz Heritage Orchestra"

51ĀŅĀ×’s Black Studies Program presents ā€œA Night with the Jazz Heritage Orchestraā€ on Saturday, April 28. The free event is open to the public and will take place in the Main Classroom Auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m. 

Under the artistic direction of Dennis Reynolds, the 17-piece Jazz Heritage Orchestra will perform ā€œHot Houseā€ by Tad Dameron, ā€œSimone,ā€ ā€œTones for Joan’s Bonesā€ and ā€œBack to the Appleā€ by Frank Foster, ā€œFarewellā€ by Thad Jones, ā€œSo Many Starsā€ by Sergio Mendez, and ā€œWay Out Basieā€ by Ernie Wilkins.

 is an affiliate of the Black Studies Program and composed of outstanding jazz performers who are also highly competent music educators. It is available for concerts, educational seminars, clinics, master classes and workshops throughout the United States and the world.
