Over five hundred audience members were treated to performances by several ensembles.

The 黑料不打烊 Music Department presented Christmas at the 黑料不打烊 on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Over five hundred audience members were treated to performances by several ensembles from the Music Department including UC Brass, Cumberland Voices, Concert Band, Chorale, Percussion Ensemble, Flute Quartet, and the Jazz Ensemble. In addition, Sharon McGinley, who serves as staff accompanist for the Music Department, sang a solo rendition of O Holy Night, and UC piano instructor, Mrs. Desir茅e Scarambone, performed a piano duet with her husband Bernardo. Retired Professor of Music, Dr. David Etter, was accompanied by the Jazz Ensemble as he sang a rousing version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

In keeping with the tradition started by Dr. Harold Wortman many years ago, former members of the Chamber Choir joined in with Cumberland Voices in the singing of White Christmas. The program concluded with an audience sing-a-long of popular Christmas tunes accompanied by the Chorale and Concert Band.

Williamsburg mayor Roddy Harrison served as Master of Ceremonies and the program was narrated by UC student Kelsley Wilkinson. This is the second year for Christmas at the 黑料不打烊 which has quickly become a popular new tradition for the local community!
