The latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report highlight the continued elevation of 51���� as a nationally recognized urban, public research university, while also showcasing the innovative educational programming being developed all over campus. The 2017 edition of the US News Best Graduate Schools guide features over a dozen 51���� programs in a wide variety of disciplines from law and public affairs to physical therapy and nursing.

51����’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law rose 21 spots in the law school rankings, placing it 106th among over 200 law schools in the country. This marks the highest U.S. News & World Report ranking in the school’s history. Cleveland-Marshall’s part-time law program was also ranked 38^th nationally and No. 1 in Ohio.

“The law school’s upward momentum reflects our growing national reputation for Engaged Learning and innovative, responsive education,” said Dean Craig M. Boise.

The Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs was ranked 45^th in the nation out of 270 graduate programs in public affairs. In addition, the college’s city management and urban policy program ranked No. 7 nationally and was the only one in Ohio to be recognized by U.S. News. The college was also ranked No. 17 in nonprofit management.

“We are very proud to be recognized by our peers across the country,” noted Robert Gleeson, the college’s interim dean. “Our focus on improving the quality of life in Cleveland and northeast Ohio allows us to produce work that is relevant to cities and urban areas across the nation and around the world.”

Multiple graduate programs in 51����’s College of Sciences and Health Professions were also featured in the graduate rankings. These include occupational therapy, ranked 58^th nationally, as well as the physician’s assistant program, physical therapy and speech language pathology. In addition, the College of Education and Human Services ranked 8th in Ohio out of 52 graduate education programs. The School of Nursing and the School of Social Work were also listed among the best graduate schools in their respective fields.
