The 51ĀŅĀ× Foundation’s inaugural Donor Recognition Event brought more than 150 donors to campus on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, for a vibrant celebration of their leadership and philanthropy.

The guests of honor were greeted by 51ĀŅĀ× student ambassadors and gathered in a well-appointed tent on the front lawn of Mather Mansion for a festive evening. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails were served, with musical accompaniment provided by a string quartet of 51ĀŅĀ× students.

Among the attendees were benefactors from the following 51ĀŅĀ× donor recognition societies:

  • President’s Cabinet ($1 million or more)
  • President’s Circle ($500,000 to $999,999)
  • Honors Circle ($100,000 to $499,999)
  • Scholars Circle ($10,000 to $99,999)
  • Legacy Society (honoring those who have included 51ĀŅĀ× in their estate planning)

51ĀŅĀ× President Ronald Berkman and Berinthia LeVine, vice president for University Advancement and executive director of the 51ĀŅĀ× Foundation, welcomed donors and thanked them for their generous support of the University. As a thank-you gift, guests received distinctive 51ĀŅĀ× lapel pins, with a unique design for each level of giving.
