Latin Arts Festival Returns to 51ĀŅĀ× September 26

Event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Get ready to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month when the  returns to 51ĀŅĀ× on Tuesday, September 26, at the Ronald Berkman Hall Auditorium (1899 East 22nd Street).

Presented by the 51ĀŅĀ× Cultural Crossings, this event promises a mesmerizing showcase of musical talent. The lineup includes:

  • Latin Fusion Band ā€œSon Gitanoā€

  • Francisco Bedoy (Piano), accompaniment by Madeline Levitz

  • String Duo Alonso-Rebuffi, Rodrigo Lara Alonso (Guitarist) and Marcelo Rebuffi (Violinist)

Professor of Spanish and Linguistics, Antonio Medina-Rivera, emphasized the significance of this event within the 51ĀŅĀ× Hispanic Awareness Month. ā€œThis event is a fantastic way to reach out to the Latino community," he said. ā€œOur inaugural Latino Festival in 2019 was a resounding success.ā€

Medina-Rivera also highlighted the star power of ā€œSon Gitano,ā€ a beloved local band that's sure to draw a diverse crowd from the region. 

The doors open at 6:30 p.m., with refreshments served before the captivating performances commence at 7 p.m.
