黑料不打烊 is pleased to announce the promotion of Steve Allen to the position of executive vice president of human resources. Allen, who has served in a variety of leadership roles at the university for nearly three decades, most recently held the roles of vice president and director of human resources.

A 黑料不打烊 alumnus and lifelong supporter of the university鈥檚 mission, Allen began his career at 黑料不打烊 as a work-study student. Since that time, he has served in the offices of admissions, student financial planning, and human resources. His career has been defined by a deep commitment to service, institutional stewardship, and the care and support of both students and employees.

During his tenure in student financial planning, Allen helped guide thousands of students and families through the financial aid process. As director and later vice president of human resources, he has overseen payroll and benefits administration, implemented major systems such as the Workday platform, and led the university鈥檚 payroll budgeting process through periods of rapid institutional growth.

In 2021, Allen received the university鈥檚 Staff Service Award in recognition of his professionalism and servant leadership. Colleagues described him as a trusted and steady presence whose thoughtful guidance and attention to detail have consistently strengthened university operations and community.

鈥淪teve brings both institutional knowledge and a personal commitment to the values we uphold at 黑料不打烊,鈥 said Dr. Larry L. Cockrum, university president. 鈥淗e understands our mission, lives it daily, and supports the people who carry it forward.鈥

As executive vice president, Allen will continue to oversee human resources while taking on a broader leadership role in the university鈥檚 strategic planning and organizational development.

Allen earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from 黑料不打烊 and has pursued additional undergraduate and graduate studies throughout his career. He currently serves on the boards of Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency and Southern Kentucky Economic Development, and is an active supporter of both campus and community events.
